Dear Friend, May I please have just a few moments of your time to share the wonderful gospel of Jesus Christ
our Savior?
We all have a great need. More of a need that we realize. Romans 3:23 tells us that all have sinned and come
short of the glory of GOD. Psalm 39:5 says that man at best state is altogether vanity. Jeremiah 17:9
John also tells us that the heart is deceitful and desperately wicked. Yes, on our own, we are hopeless. Search the scriptures
for many other passages that tell us this same thing. Ezekiel 18:4 tells us,
Again we read: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. Sin is the transgression of GOD's law.
Ephesians 2:4 is one of the many passages that brings light to mans helpless state. But GOD who is rich in
mercy, for his great love wherewith he loves us. It is because of Gods love and mercy he sent his son Jesus into the world
to pay the price for our sin dept and to be our savior. (John 3:16) In John 10:10 Jesus says that he has come
that we might have life abundantly.
Eph. 2:1 Tells us this: you hath he quickened who were dead in trespasses and sins. What a wonderful gift!
If you have seen this terrible state that we are all born into, and have seen the wonderful gift of life, and have seen
the need of having a wonderful savior to walk with us through this life And to be with eternally in heaven, then perhaps you
are wondering, How can I obtain this wonderful gift?
Well, Romans 6:23 tells us that its there just by asking for the free gift. Romans 10:13 says that Whosoever
shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How do we call upon the name of the Lord? By the simple prayer of faith.
We must see ourselves as sinners, repent or have a turning form sin to God and ask the Lord to come into our heart and
be our savior. Jesus died on the cross, was buried and rose again on the third day that our sins might be covered by his blood.
This is what makes it all possible.
When I accepted the Lord and his wonderful free gift, I read an example prayer that someone else had written. It was something
like this:
Dear Lord, I realize that I am a sinner, hopeless without you. Thank you for sending Jesus to die on the cross to pay my
sin dept. Right now I invite Jesus into my heart and to be my wonderful Savior.
If you have called upon the Lord believing that Jesus died on the cross for you, Gods grace is certainly sufficient to
save to the uttermost. After accepting the Lord we should follow him in baptism which places you in a Bible believing church,
study his word, and pray to laern more about him and his gospel.
